and getting together with friends. Enjoying

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING All links are colored cyan for your benefit.
When you register your user name should be your character's FIRST and LAST name. No names such as HarryPotterRules, xxsiriusxx, Candy, or any other variations.
DO NOT take the full name or the last name of a canon character that played a substantial role in the Harry Potter series.
Some examples you shouldn't use: Potter, Granger, Black, Dumbledore, Lupin, Snape, etc...
All avatars MUST BE 180x400
All incoming students will begin between the ages of 11 and 18, no exceptions.
After registering you have two weeks to have your profile completed and accepted. Once that time is up your account will be deleted.
All first year students are prohibited from posting outside of Hogwarts during the school year UNLESS
you are given permission from the Headmistress, Deputy or your Head of House or you wish to be caught and given detention, because you will unless you have received permission.
Please keep in mind that this site has no limits on topics such as; sex, violence, drugs, alcohol, and partying. This site may not be appropriate for younger users. You have been warned.
BUT All threads that have the above content must have a rating next to the title so that it can be seen from the main topic pages. You can find out how to rate them here.
Most swear words are allowed, but if your character uses them frequently and in very graphic ways, please also add a warning. NO racial swears are to be used, as most people will probably find them offensive.
No GM-ing or God-Modding, unless you're given the explicit permission from the other person. Everything you do must have the consent of both characters; death, torture, etc... Keep in mind that you do NOT control the reactions of others.
Example of GM-ing: Zeus turned to shoot a lightening bolt at Tyler's head and smiled sadistically as he burst into flames.
If you obtain the permission you must have this copied at the bottom of each post or if you have been given explicit permission by said person to GM them whenever you please you can post the code within your signature box.

Please be sure to read the site's plot line and other important information before you start role playing. As those will help you navigate and figure things out.
The word minimum for posting in character is fifty words, but keep in mind that no one likes to write a long post and find something small in return. So the minimum may be fifty, but more would probably be appreciated.
All roleplaying as well as the applications should be done in third person, past tense.
No double posting with the same character. That is what the edit button was created for, so you can add or change anything without creating an entirely new post.
Before posting you must have the following things done:
Celebrity Claim posted and make sure they have not already been taken. As you can see ALL characters must use real celebrities and not cartoons or anime. Profile done and accepted. Students, this will also act as your sorting quiz. This is optional, but advised. If you're an adult you must apply for your Job and there are clubs and such that students can apply for in their Claims section
Most jobs have certain expectations for each individual to follow. You can review them HERE. Now we understand that there are times when you will be too busy and if that's the case you will be temporarily excused once you post in the away thread. This will not protect you from losing your job indefinitely so don't take advantage of this. You will be given three strikes before your job is removed from your repertoire and you notified of each strike.
There is no limit to how many character you may have on this site, but after five (5) characters you must seek the permission of an admin to create more. Make sure that you keep ALL of them active as we won't allow more characters if they aren't. There will be activity checks every now and again and unless you've posted in the Away Thread we are going to assume you have left the site after 3 activity checks.
We understand that you all have lives, but if you're going to create characters you must use them and you should know how much you can handle. So after you've archived five (5) characters you will be banned from the site. We do not want someone archiving and creating new characters all the time. If you have a compelling reason, then feel free to contact an admin about it. As there are always exceptions.
Remember to be as realistic as possible when role playing. This is a Post Harry Potter Universe, so please keep that in mind. We are trying to get a taste of that lifestyle and the only way we can accomplish that is by remaining as in character as possible.
No character is perfect so there will be no Mary-Sue's. Your character will have flaws and they will mess up. No character can be all knowing and perfect. Everyone has their weaknesses in every aspect of life, whether it be love or magic or something else entirely. So keep things as realistic as possible.
