Hogwarts: A Time of Change
Welcome to Hogwarts: A Time of Change!

Summer break is underway and students are out and about in the world waiting for another year to begin. Hogwarts is currently closed with professors planning lessons and getting everything ready. With students out in the streets, does that make them safer or not? It seems as though something is out brewing on the horizon. Something that no one is quite ready for.

See if you can find a place in the world of Harry Potter, there is much to choose from; magical abilities, creatures, students, adults, etc... See if your loyalty is with the Order, the Death Eaters or the Guardians..make a choice...take a stand...

Where do you belong?

Hogwarts: A Time of Change

Times are changing and we need to decide where our loyalties lay... light or dark? You choose...

Ancient Runes
This is the study of runic scriptures, or runology. It also covers the art of runic magic. From deciphering runes to what runes do what task. There are rituals to certain spells and this class will teach you all about them.

Ancient Studies
In this class, the magical component will be small, though very significant. The link between ancient human society and ancient wizarding society will be explored, and the physical existence of ancient civilizations will be addressed also.

Arithmancy
A branch of magic that is concerned with the magical properties of numbers, which has also been seen as a way of predicting the future with numbers. The mathematics of spell work and magic itself. If you're of the more logical persuasion, this class will have your answers.

Art

Astronomy
This is where you will learn the names of stars and constellations, of planets and their moons. The study the motions of the stars and planets through the heavens. They learn how to use telescopes, observe the night skies through them, and make labeled star charts. You will even learn twentieth century knowledge about the solar system, such as the sizes and surface features of Jupiter’s moons

Care of Magical Creatures
The study the life cycles of various magical creatures, some of which can be rather dangerous. You will learn to care for, feed, and manage the creatures, and also learn lore about them and how to use them (or parts of them) for magical purposes.

Charms
A type of magic spell concerned with enchanting an object to behave in a way that isn't normal for that object. A Charm might cause something to flash different colors. It might cause an object to levitate or even fly through the air. Charms can make a person laugh or dance or even create a bubble of breathable air around a person's head. In all of these cases, the object or the person doesn't really change, they just do something unexpected.

Defense Against the Dark Arts
This class broadly focuses on preparing the student so that they may be able to—if such need arises—magically defend themselves against things pertaining to the Dark Arts. This may include: Learning how to block unfriendly spells; and learning how to defeat dark, magical beasts (like the Boggart).

Divination
Divination is magic which attempts to foresee future events. Many in the wizarding world consider this branch of magic to be imprecise at best. There are several types of Divination. The most imprecise is what is commonly known as "fortunetelling." The truest form of divination is "seeing," although what the Seer reveals is usually in the form of a Prophecy which then itself requires some interpretation.

Drama
The study of acting, where you get to immerse yourself in the life of another person and/or character. You will learn about the different plays and even become a part of the theatre life. Whether it be an actor or a stage hand, you decide where you stand in that.

Flying
This subject teaches students of varying to degree of skill, to learn to fly as well as more advanced techniques. You will also learn about quidditch and the basics of playing the sport.

Ghoul Studies
This class will teach you everything you've ever wanted to know about ghouls and ghosts.

Herbology
This is the study of magical plants and fungi, including their care and their magical properties and uses. Some magical plants form important ingredients in potions, others have magical effects in their own right.

History of Magic
This is the study of magical history. The lesson plan usually consists of lectures on the History of Wizards and the Magical World (in which goblin rebellions appear most memorably). This class is similar to the study of History in the Muggle World, as particular emphasis is placed upon remembering dates, names and events.

Languages*
A variety of languages are given within the Language corridor. To name of few; Japanese, Latin, Spanish, etc... Pick which one interests you more.

Muggle Cooking
This class will teach you the art of Muggle Cuisine. You will learn a variety of Muggle dishes and how to cook them without magic. Food always tastes delicious when magic isn't involved. This is a fairly simple class and I assure you that you will have fun.

Muggle Entertainment
This course specializes purely on the entertainment of the Muggle world; movies and plays..

Muggle Studies
A course in the history, culture, and psychology of non-magical people. The class attempts to help young witches and wizards understand the difference between the way Muggles think and the way wizards think.

Music
The study of all music instruments; be it magical or muggle.

Mythology
The term mythology can refer either to the study of myths, or to a body or collection of myths. As examples, comparative mythology is the study of connections between myths from different cultures, whereas Greek mythology is the body of myths from ancient Greece. In the field of folkloristics, a myth is defined as a sacred narrative explaining how the world and humankind came to be in their present form. Many scholars in other fields use the term "myth" in somewhat different ways. In a very broad sense, the word can refer to any story originating within traditions.

Philosophy
Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument.

Physical Education
There are a variety of courses that are involved within Physical Education from both the muggle and magical world, and you will take the many courses at your own pace; dancing, basketball, football, gymnastics, weight lifting, etc...

Poetry and Literature
The study of muggle and magical poetry and literature. Where you'll also get an opportunity to create your own pieces for public or private display.

Potions
This classes teaches students how to brew potions, following specific recipes and using various magical ingredients to create their potions, starting with simple ones first and moving to more advanced ones as they progress in knowledge.

Transfiguration
The art of transforming objects into something different, usually involving similar qualities until you become more skilled. In later years, human transmogrification (or animagus) is brought into the lesson.
