Personality

Up until fourth year Kori had been considered as one of the guys as she was always up for mischief and wasn't worried about things that most girls were worried about. It was only when she hit puberty that she started to dress more like a girl, but still her behavior left much to be desired (according to her mother's pureblood family).

History

Korina has grown up in a large and sometimes loud family as both her parents came from moderately sized families. Though the two sides couldn't be more different. Her father, Joshua Winters, came from a muggle family who were surprised to find magic existed. An when their second magical child came to be they weren't as surprised as the wizarding community as it was uncommon for two muggleborn children to be from the same set of muggle parents. While her mother, Kaylee Winters (nee Blackwood), came from a very pureblood family who were all about doing things appropriately and keeping up appearances. It was almost a wonder that the Blackwood family didn't try and disown Kaylee, but as much as they were all about appearances really did care about family more. Which was what shaped Kori into the girl she was, one that didn't take any crap and leaped before looking (oddly enough).

Acceptance Letter Response

"Kori! Your letter is here!" her mother called from the kitchen and Kori immediately jumped off her bed, and ran toward the kitchen, her stomach meeting the banister in her haste. "Don't run!"

She didn't know how her mum always knew what she was doing, but with a roll of her eyes she pushed off the banister and kept going. "Yesh!" she yelled when she saw the letter in her mom's grasp with the owl nibbling on a piece of bacon behind her. Kori reached for it eagerly, but her mother merely swatted her fingers. "But-"

"Not in front of your cousin, Kori," her mother whispered from the corner of her mouth and she turned to see Carl sneaking food.

"He's not even paying attention," she groaned in annoyance, "Besides, he can see the owl. Won't he be more curious about that then me opening some stupid letter?" Kori wanted to throw a tantrum, but she knew that would get no where with her mother. Logic was always best and being extremely stubborn always helped.

With a deep sigh Kaylee Winters handed her daughter the letter and turned to Carl. "Carl Winters, you stop stealing that food and get your uncle and cousin down here for breakfast," she snapped with a sharp look at Kori telling her to open her letter while her cousin was distracted.

Kori didn't need to be told twice as she ripped open the seal and started reading.
